We are looking for a Director/VP of Information Services and Technology based in our El Segundo headquarters.

This position is responsible for IT strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will lead the planning, development,

ongoing support for our organization. The individual selected should have a broad base of experience in IT

Operations, ERP specialization, BI analytics and demonstrated senior level leadership skills.

 

The candidate will apply hands-on capability, has experience in developing an enterprise-wide IT strategy and has a

proven track record of results working in a fast-paced organization with an acquisition growth model. This leader

will be passionate about investing current technology team members and new initiatives that will support a

growing aerospace distribution operation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with executive teams in identifying, planning, development, and implementation of systems
      that will support future vision of the company.
  • Develop and execute the strategy and plan for the technical infrastructure.
  • Implement IT infrastructure systems/projects in alignment with the FDH strategy.
  • Perform an ongoing assessment of IT capabilities and performance.
  • Work well with executives and functional leadership, leading high-visibility, high-impact projects that are
      technically broad while drive change and business value at significant scale.
  • Oversee and evaluate system security and back up procedures.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor IT governance & compliance policies for information security.
  • Prepare, oversee and manage IT resources to budget, including negotiation, procurement and meeting of
     established internal and external performance standards.
  • Research new solutions and technologies and recommend changes based on analysis of their impact to all
     users’ requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a business recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of data and IT
     services in the event of a disaster. Conduct routine testing of plans to ensure effectiveness of resilience
     strategy.
  • Develop, train and motivate qualified staff to effectively carry out department functions and provide for
     the continuity of managerial and specialized skills.
  • Lead in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

  • 7+ years of increasing IT management experience.

  • Expert technical expertise in ERP systems.

  • Insightful, hands-on IT Operations leader with strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Broad IT infrastructure and application architecture knowledge.

  • Highly skilled in engaging teams to deliver results in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Strong project management leadership, knowledge, and skills, covering planning and execution, including ability to rapidly assess risk and identify/resolve issues.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally (Business travel restrictions temporarily in place due to COVID)

  • Demonstrates integrity, bias for action, innovation, and ability to dive into the deepest details.

  • Motivates others by creating a climate in which people want to do their best
